Rolling Stones drummer and Gerry Mulligan fan Charlie Watts passed away on August 24, 2021. What many Rolling Stones fans may not know is that Charlie was a jazz aficionado and accomplished jazz drummer.
He joined the Stones in 1963 and with his jazz-inflected drumming became one of the greatest rock drummers of all time.
